Mercedes stressed the dominance in this season with Hamilton winning famous race for the third time in his career, Sebastian Vettel finished and Hamilton's teammate Valtteri Bottas finished third. Robert Kubica finished 18th. Kubica had a very good start, gaining 5 positions, but he was hit by Antonio Giovinazzi in La Rascasse corner. The Pole reached the finish line at eighteenth place, keeping Giovinazzi behind. That means for the first time in this season Kubica he wasn't the last one at the end of the race. Williams' cars had problems with grip and pressure, which makes driving on such a narrow track difficult. After the race Kubica admitted that Williams has no chance to earn any points this season.
